We drove to Destin, Florida for Spring Break. We rented a wonderful house right on the beach. We took my 14 year old son, my daugher who is 20 and 2 of her friends, and my parents. We had a really good time and the guys played alot of golf. On Thursday afternoon John and I and my parents drove to the town of Seaside to see where The Truman Show was filmed. We got a call from our son saying a man drowned on the our beach. My kids witnessed the whole thing and even tried to comfort the man's family. It was really sad. The red flags were up that day and the waves were really big. Evidently he had gone in to help some other people who were in trouble. A couple of hours later another man drowned about a mile away. There must have been a really bad rip tide. We learned that when the red flags are flying don't get in the water.
